The Institute for Risk and Uncertainty provides a new interdisciplinary centre for Liverpool’s University expertise in quantifying, mitigating and managing risk and uncertainty. IRU members have applied risk and uncertainty methods to many fields including building design, climate analysis, reliability engineering, software reliability, materials science, financial modelling, socio-political harm reduction and critical incident management.
