DataScouting, a leading service provider and software developer for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) specialising in developing solutions for media monitoring, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Sophia Karakeva to the position of Chief Marketing Officer, effective May 1st, 2014.
DataScouting focuses in research and software development of multimedia information extraction solutions, while its main expertise lie in the area of media monitoring and archiving, providing solutions based on state of the art technologies such as optical character recognition, automatic speech recognition, video feature extraction and retrieval of information from multimedia data. DataScouting is aiming at expanding its activities worldwide and needed a new team member to communicate and market its vision and its expertise to the media intelligence industry.
Mrs Karakeva has a 14-year experience in the media monitoring and analysis industry, while she is currently the Head Commissioner of the Marketing and Communications Commission at FIBEP (International Federation of Media Monitoring and Analysis Companies). She holds a PhDr in Mass Communication and Journalism and speaks fluently four languages. With her deep understanding of the media monitoring and analysis industry, Mrs Karakeva is able to define and translate business vision into implementable strategy and was pleased to accept this new challenge. In her new role as CMO, Sophia will leverage her extensive experience in the field to communicate and market DataScouting’s solutions and innovative integrated tools to a wide spectrum of companies activating in the media monitoring and analysis, PR, marketing and advertising sector.
