DataScouting attended last week the 15th International Conference on Web Information System Engineering (WISE 2014) that took place this year in Thessaloniki, from the 12th until the 14th of October.
Researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners from all over the world shared their knowledge on web mining, web recommendation and personalization, web querying and searching, social online networks, semantic web, web innovation and applications, software architectures and platforms, web technologies and frameworks.
Prof. Stavros Vologiannidis, founder of DataScouting, chaired the Social Online Networks (II) session on the second day of the congress. Moreover, the professional agenda included DataScouting’s WISE Challenge paper on multi-label classification of print articles to topics. (Interested to read an interview with the winner of this challenge?)
Until next year, the series of WISE conferences aim to provide an international forum for scientists to share their knowledge in the rapidly growing area of web technologies, methodologies and applications.
