Headline Sponsor of the FIBEP Spring Summit 2022
DataScouting is proud to be the headline sponsor of the FIBEP Spring Summit that will take place in Athens, from 28 to 29 of March.
The Spring Summit is a new format launched by FIBEP this year and brings together three events: Copyright, Tech and Sales.
- The Copyright session will be led and moderated by Christophe Dickès, Global Media & Copyright Direct, Onclusive. It will be held on Monday, 28 of March in the morning.
- The Tech session will be led and moderated by Sophia Karakeva, Chief Communications Officer at DataScouting. It will be held on Monday, 28 of March, in the afternoon.
- The Sales session will be led and moderated by Steffen Egelund, CEO of Media Track. It will be held on Tuesday, 29 of March, in the morning.
- On Tuesday the agenda will also have a networking event in the afternoon.
The FIBEP Spring Event will be a combination of an in-person and hybrid format. The event will be hosted at the Royal Olympic Hotel.

Countering AI-enabled disinformation
Are we in the midst of an information crisis? Maybe. Surely, we can say that it has become increasingly difficult to trust the reliability of the news and content we consume (at least a large portion of it). Misinformation is a challenge, but disinformation is a serious threat.
Disinformation comes in multiple types and forms. It has moved from political and social spheres to the corporate world. It has grown in scope and impact, through the power of social media platforms and widespread access to content creation technologies.
DataScouting team is developing classifiers in order to detect deepfake messages and has been working on deepfake detection in images and videos.

FIBEP Tech Portfolio lead by Sophia Karakeva
FIBEP has announced the new areas of activities undertaken by Vice Presidents and members of the Board of Directors. Sophia Karakeva, the Chief Communications Officet at DataScouting, has undertaken the Tech Portfolio. The FIBEP Tech Portfolio falls within the Media Intelligence Business Ecosystem and it supervises the Tech Advisory Commission.
The Tech Advisory Commission (TAC) is a team of FIBEP members working together to monitor, explore and analyse the role of technology in the media intelligence business, now and in the future. TAC has eight members and it is chaired by Alessandro Cederle, Business Development for Europe, TVEyes.

AMEC announces its International Board of Directors for 2022
The International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC) announces its International Board of Directors for 2022. AMEC saw a record level of candidates in number and qualifications. As a result, the new Board illustrates the global profile of our membership with representation from leaders in 12 different countries around the world.
Sophia Karakeva, Communications and Marketing Executive of DataScouting is a member of this board. She is also the chair of the AMEC Special Interest Group Tech Hub.
