KOHA successfully installed at the Library of Florina

KOHA installation at the Central Public Library of Florina “Vasiliki Pitoska”

We are happy to have successfully completed the installation of the open-source ILS KOHA version 18 for the Central Public Library of Florina “Vasiliki Pitoska”.

During the project, the KOHA installation was customized according to the library policies and the specific needs of the personnel and the library visitors. The goal is to provide a better experience and added value services to the visitors, as well as making the library management more efficient.

Specifically, KOHA was installed to conform to Marc21 format for both bibliographic and authority records. The ILS supports the Greek and Latin alphabet and it is connected to other libraries through Z39.50.

DataScouting promotes the use of open-source software in libraries as the best way to elevate library services and to keep up with the information age.
